Lexica: a word game about knowing when to stop looking

Lexica gives you a grid of random letters and a countdown. The interesting part is not finding words - it is deciding how long to keep hunting.

Scoring drives the tension

Because longer words score disproportionately, banking a handful of safe four-letter finds is rarely optimal. But committing thirty seconds to a seven-letter hunt that fails costs you the round. That trade-off is the whole game.

Offline and self-contained

Multiple dictionaries and board sizes ship with it, and nothing requires a connection. It is a reasonable choice for a commute with poor signal.

Who it suits
